The feeding of two hungry cats. Early sounds include tinkling of crunchy food falling into a near bowl and a more distant one, and the munching sounds of a purring cat. Then the snap of the top of the feeding container, and closure of a cabinet door. Two cats (bowmore and munro) the former near and the latter further away then transition to eating wet food. Recorded with the zoom h4 xy microphone pair in 24bit 48k wave, then converted to flac in audacity with a bit of amplification.
Me trying to immitate an angry cat or simliar feline. Recorded indoors on the 05. 04. 2015 using a blue yeti microphone and audacity recording software.
A meow performed by my male, 1 year old cat, renly. Recorded in 2011, indoors, using cubase 5(pc), an audiophile 2496 pci soundcard, and an mxl 990 microphone.
My clap for a film timing mark and my cat charlotte reacting. Sadly, and with a lot of tears shed, charlotte had to be put to sleep in february 2019. We miss her so much. Recorded with my yamaha pocketrak and edited with sony vegas. Track also duplicated. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :^).

It is free for anyone to download, modify, or use without my consent and without attribution - like all freesound audio files should be. Enjoy!.
Other placesrecorder: zoom h2 / other portable devicesoftware: pro tools / audacity / ocenaudio. Your comments are greatly appreciatedcheers, piotr zaczek.
Originally was a kitten mewing i got from here on freesound, then changed in my sound design class while following along with the examples he was doing in the lecture. When i finally stopped and listened to the end result. . . Well, it sounded like it would be good for someone's creepy needs!.
This is my cat, trying to get my attention. Eventually, he lost interest and started to scratch his scratching post. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.
Purring of cat: this sound is extremely distinct. It is an up-close recording of the vibrations emitted by a cat when they are happy. It is an accurate representation because an actual cat was used to record this sound. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. This is a great sound if you are looking for an extreme specific purr unaccompanied by other noises.
It is a sound that despite feeling constant there are a few moments in which its volume decreases discreetly. It was not activated by anyone, it is the natural purr of a cat.
Tonight, about 0:30 gmt+2 while recording in the middle of the woods (only 2 houses around) 2 dogs were harassing some cat. The cat is alive and safe right now (9 hours since recording have passed). Recorder: h1n + windshield.
A short, high-pitched adult cat meow. My cat came to visit me in my sound booth while i was recording some dialogue, i hope it can help someone somewhere! :).
Cats meow with heat at the distance. Some dogs bark. Distant city traffic. Night. Recorded with zoom h4n-pro 48 khz / 24 bit. Use freely on your personal commercial and non-commercial projects. Don't put this raw sounds/files on youtube or anywhere else. You can use them in creative way as a part of art-form, but not "re-distribute" as (royalty free) stock material. Thank you.
The sound of my mother having a good laugh over the constant miowing of her cat all the time and says i think its all crazy. Very natural that i thought was good enough to share.
